WELCOME TO OUR COMMUNITY
"Developing the future of the community through our children"
Our village has been evolving over the years - first a road, then a few houses, then a church, then a school.
Our school is situated in a small rural village 3km north of the city of Alajuela
in the community of Tuetal Sur.
The little school of 350 to 400 children from pre-school to age 12, has become the de facto
center of our local community and continues to evolve.
We think of this school as a model school for reasons that will become apparent
if you know other schools in central America. We will get to that later.
OUR MISSION:
Create a caring and supportive environment for the upbringing of the student
where they can safely develop their skills and potential in harmony with their
fellow students, their parents and society.
WEB SITE INFORMATION
We the parents, teachers, kids and community of Tuetal Sur have
developed this web site with the assistance of the Pura Vida Hotel
located in the neighborhood. Our goal in the short term is to support
the future health of the community through the children of the neighborhood.
The web site is here to teach the children about the internet and to
find new ways to support
the childrens access to information (though the school library and the internet).
